Identity and Environment
From a social justice and racial equality standpoint, colorblind ideology is just one step above blatant racism. To act as though someone's race does not exist is to ignore the importance and significance of all the experiences in their life that were connected to their race. It also strips the importance of the experiences of those that came before them. Adopting a colorblind attitude does not help advance disadvantaged groups, it just leaves them stuck in their current situation.
